This brief clip has sooo many amazing reflections.  Many of them could fuel an actor’s imagination and work for years to come.

 

I greatly admire the artistic brillance of Gena Rowlands. The fact that she was also married to one of the greatest filmmakers of our times, adds to my admiration for her and her artistic legacy.

 

I love the that fact that Mr. Cassavetes had such faith and trust in the actors that he worked with.  For me, that kind of trust allows for the greatest amount of creative energy to flow through the actor.

 

Ms. Rowlands said of her husband, “John was not a person who gave you a lot of direction, even if you ask sometimes.  He would say, I wrote this and I gave it to you and now it belongs to you.  And you know more about this character than I know or anybody else in the world knows.”
