The Ed Sullivan Show was a television broadcast that showcased the top artist of the day. Sammy Davis Jr. was an amazing entertainer. His appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show endeared him to audiences and allowed him to gain in popularity.
Ella Fitzgerald was a singer extraordinaire. Her wonderful voice and unique singing style put her in a class all by herself. Some would say, she was often “imitated, but never duplicated.” I came to appreciate Ms. Fitzgerald later in my life. She will forever reign as a diamond best0wed on the world of music and song.
