Parasite is such a brillantly made movie. The contrast between the living situations of the two families was so stark and clear in this film. The sad struggle to elevate at the deadly expense of others was masterfully demonstrated in this film.
This is the trailer for the film Parasite.
I really connected with director Bong Joon Ho when he shared this in the interview below, “I wanted to explore that if you look at most of the characters in this film. they’re all people who are on the lower rung of society…They’re people who um who can’t get the help of the system…the society and the government so even people like the police and the lawyers they’re not able to help these people…So you see these these kind of Underdog kind of characters and these are the characters that affect me most deeply and I wanted to you know tell stories…”
The story of the “so-called” underdog or the underclass or the underprivileged is vast and diverse. There are so many experiences and emotions and joys and sorrows in their stories. As an actor, I love being apart of the telling of their stories, the human story of many.
Here is another wonderful interview with director Boon Joon Ho.
